In 2026, we made a deliberate move to focus exclusively on padel clubs — not because it looked like a good market, but because our founder ran one. We know what it looks like from the inside. Where it started.

Where it started. Metera was founded by Pēteris Benhens with one goal — build AI systems that solve real operational problems. The first clients came from real estate, B2B service companies, and B2C brands. Every project meant going deep into how that business actually worked and building around it.

A difficult year.

A bad business decision put Metera in a tough spot. It was a difficult period — one that forced a full reassessment of where the business was going and what it stood for. During that time, Pēteris became deeply involved in managing a padel club. Not just playing — running it. Bookings, member communication, no-shows, social media, payments. The full picture of what these clubs deal with every day.

One industry. Done properly.

What started as a difficult period turned into the clearest direction Metera had ever had. Running a padel club made one thing obvious — the operational gaps were consistent, significant, and unsolved. Playtomic does not fix them. Generic software does not fix them. Metera was already building systems that did. The decision to focus exclusively on padel clubs was not a pivot. It was the natural conclusion.
